It is the first day of July and excited to enjoy the summer how about you all? We just finished our year of dance classes and now our weekends are free from those, but not from summer fun. Everyday my girls want to go swimming, to the park, the zoo, or The Land of Make Believe. It is amazing to see my girls growing up and the changes from year to year as you moms know. But with Summer Fun comes subluxations. Jumping on the trampoline or into the pool. Learning to climb new obstacles and occasionally falling. We want our children to grow into there potential and they need to be subluxation free to do that. I am excited to go on all the summer adventures with my family and being proactive with their wellness. Get your children checked and adjusted if needed. Enjoy your holiday. ~LLWA
Today is a beautiful day in NJ, 78 and sunny, birds are chirping and my body doesn't hurt. Since, I just came back from Palmer Homecoming in Florida I am happy to say the weather followed me. Thank the Lord it is starting to show signs of spring because my two little girls need to get outside and we need to rid our house of stale air. Happy for their opportunity to play in the snow a little and not having a whole lot of shoveling this year, we still love warmer weather as I am sure most parents do when your kids are stuck inside.
Here's another thing; my youngest is going to be 2 at the end of the month....what do you do for birthdays or even Easter when its in March because it could snow or be freezing. Funny side note, last year we went to visit my brother in Colorado for Mother's Day thinking it would be a good time of year, instead it was cold and snowed. SURPRISE! Anyway back to SPRING....kids get to play outside, stagnate air is cleared out of the house, bodies don't have as may aches and pains....all good things.
With the change in weather comes a drive to do more activities outside; start running, riding bikes, walking, playing sports, weekend warriors and so on. Make sure you take into account the muscle soreness and don't use that as an excuse to QUIT. Call our office and ask what you can do to help conquer that situation and move forward. Having a good CORE and proper technique is so important to prevent injury. We are here to help you be the best you can and that starts with a HEALTHY SPINE and NERVOUS SYSTEM.

It is upon us, our Grand Opening. All the preparation and planning to get our name out there and let people know "We Are Here" as from 'Horton Hears a Who'....I look forward to seeing who is able to make this event. We are having decoration of balloons from Karen Varrecchia, Whats the Occasion and Gotta Dance owner; food from Culinary Concepts Corp, Delightful Abundance ( who happens to be my business neighbor); face painting and balloon twisting for all the children from Love, Peace and Paint; and Teavana has given us some tea and literature from their WELLNESS TEA collection. Exciting experience and can't wait to take the next step, hope to have you all along for the ride.

Happy Valentine's, this is let you know it is important and okay to be selfish sometimes. Love yourself and take care of your body because you only get one.
Here we are in 2016 and I already feel like I am falling behind. Stress of holidays and families, over eating, eating terrible food for you but so tasty, lack of sleep, too many gifts for the kids, cleaning up and so on and so on.... I know you all need "me time" cause I do. I noticed while I was making preparations a priority I was lacking prioritizing myself. Because I did that I ended up getting really sick with a nasty bug and I was down for the count for 2 days. That hasn't happened in years. I needed to focus on getting better or more people than just myself would suffer. I met with a colleague/friend/associate and for two days in a row we got my body working properly again and able to do the healing job it is meant to. (Thank you Dr D. you know who you are).
That situation is one I wouldn't wish on anyone, so here is a proposal for 2016. Make "ME" a priority...I know it sounds selfish, but trust me its not. If "we" are functioning at our optimal then all around us can too. Less tired, more energy, more positive thoughts, less pain, brighter outlooks and so on. I want to help you get to your optimal. I am here to answer questions, give hugs, talk it out with, and most IMPORTANTLY~ ADJUST YOUR SPINE TO "TURN ON YOUR POWER". Call, come in, email, post here...I look forward to hearing how I can aid in making this year better than the last.

Happy Thanksgiving week, I know I am excited for the holiday how about the rest of you? Cooking, baking, eating, seeing family and friends its a great time of the year. Excitement all around because I am counting down the days till my birthday (fun), but especially 'till I am handed the keys to my new office. December will be a busy event filled month; shaping up the office and spreading the word in the community. I plan on speaking at OB/Gyn - midwife offices, library, YMCA/Rec center, female gyms and yoga studios in the area. If anyone has more suggestions let me know via this website on the "contact us" page. I look forward to the future.

It is the beginning of November and here I am super excited to start a new adventure with SPA Chiropractic. I am in the process of opening my own office and while I have had my own business for years this is a whole new experience of having a space to call my own. I have worked in a few different places gaining experience and elements that I want to use in my office. I have met some amazing practitioners and friends along the way. I have only grown from all the different interactions.
These last 6 months have been a huge change for me personally as well as professionally. I have re-invented myself, and couldn't feel better about where I am now. Starting in the new year I will open a practice in Fairfield, NJ, Essex County. It will be my own creation of what I think Chiropractic Care should be for families, Pregnancy, Pediatrics and everyone in between. Focusing on health and wellness with education and having open forum for questions.
I look forward to hearing from everyone.
Until next time.
